The modeling and simulation of photocatalytic oxidation reactor system |

A mathematical modeling and simulation are built for the photocatalytic oxidation system using commercialized immobilized photocatalysts. The photocatalytic reactor is analyzed by FLUENT 6.0 and then the reactor system is simulated by gPROMS. In gPROMS, the LSSE (Line Source Spherical Emission) radiation model and the LHHW (Langmuir Hinshelwood Hougen Watson) reaction model are used to simulate the immobilized photocatalytic reactor. The mathematical model could predict the concentration distribution of CO in the reactor, and the simulation of the reactor system could estimate the photooxidized CO amount from the experimental result. |
