제목 All-trans retinoic acid release from polyion-complex nanoparticles of Poly(N-isopropylacrylamide) grafted chitosan
초록 The carboxyl terminated poly(N-isopropylacrylamide)(PNIPAAm) was synthesized by radical chain-transfer polymerization. PNIPAAmwith narrow PDI value was prepared by ultrafiltration using MWCO 30K, 10K, 3K membranes. We synthesized PNIPAAm grafted chitosan(chitoPAAm) copolymer by DCC, NHS reaction to prepare a retinoic acid(RA) encapsulated nanoparticles. The RA-encapsulated nanoparticles of the chitoPAAm copolymer had a particles size of 100-400nm according to temperature and a spherical shape when observed by transmission electron microscopy. The mechanism of encapsulation of atRA into chitoPEG nanoparticles thought to be an ion complex formation between chitoPEG and RA. ChitoPEG nanoparticles showed high atRA loading efficiency over 80 % (w/w).
