Synthesis of Various Methacrylate Polymers by Using Hyperbranched Polyglycidols-terminated 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxy Nitroxide |
초록 |
Poly(2-hydroxyethyl methacrylate) (PHEMA) is a biocompatible methacrylate polymer widely used for biomedical applications. Like HEMA, several methacrylate type of polymers have adequate biocompatibility. Various methacrylate monomers can be polymerized by nitroxide-terminated polymerization (NMP) using hyperbranched polyglycidols-terminated 2,2,6,6-tetramethyl-1-piperidinyloxy nitroxide (TEMPO). As initiator for NMP, hyperbranched polyglycidols-terminated TEMPO is synthesized via click chemistry using hyperbranched polglycidols that partially modified with azide group and 4-alkynyl TEMPO modified from 4-hydroxy TEMPO. NMP process using methacrylate monomer would be controlled by extent of modification of hydroxyl group in HBP or structure and molecular weight of HBP. |
