Chitosan based adhesives with balanced strengths by controlling with pH and oxidizing agent |
초록 |
Adhesives that can bond strongly to tissues are very useful biomaterials for the treatment of wounds during surgical operation. For achieving high wet-adhesive and -mechanical strengths, we developed the tissue adhesive matrices consisting of modified chitosan derivatives with catechol group via enzymatic oxidation. Further, we investigated the adhesion and cohesion strengths of modified chitosans by varying cross-linking via pH and oxidizing. The physico-chemical properties and adhesive strength of the chitosan based adhesive matrices were characterized. Our results demonstrate that balanced strengths are key factors to meet the requirements in the field of surgical. |
