Case Study on Development of New Agrochemicals : 2-Imino-1,3-Thiazolidine Fungicide |

The purpose of this study is a development of new agrochemical fungicide through lead optimization of 2-iminothiazolidine derivatives. This study includes syntheses of 2-iminothiazolidine series which are new chemical structure and the biological screening test against 6 kinds of typical fungi. 2-Iminothiazolidine series are structurally novel scaffold as agrochemical fungicide and completely different from known agents. These derivatives were practically synthesized in a combinatorial manner. 2-Iminothiazolidine derivatives showed selective antifungal activities against rice blast. And also, due to the structural uniqueness, a new mode of action is highly expected. |
