Graphene-based Biosensor for Specific DNA Sequence Detection |
초록 |
In this study, we explored a potential of graphene oxide (GO) sheets as a fluorescence probe for biological applications. The properties of water-solubility due to the hydrophilic functional groups on the GO surface and the unique fluorescence emission signal at 546 nm allow the microsized GO sheets to be used for detecting specific DNA-DNA hybridization event. A DNA probe is immobilized on the GO surface covalently by an amide bond, and when the probe captures a gold nanoparticle (Au NP) labeled target DNA, the fluorescence intensity of GO is drastically reduced due to the FRET/electron transfer phenomenon between GO and Au NP. |
