Highly efficient blue thermally activated delayed fluorescent materials using a bicarbazole moiety |

BPBCz and TrzBCz were studied as blue thermally activated delayed fluorescent (TADF) emitters. Benzophenone and triazine were used as acceptors in BPBCz and TrzBCz devices, respectively, and a 3,3’-bicarbazole was used as a common donor. Both BPBCz and TrzBCz showed high external quantum efficiency owing to small singlet-triplet energy gap for activation of p-type delayed fluorescence. We fabricated the devices for electroluminescence properties of the synthesized compounds. The devices showed external quantum efficiency of 23.3% and 23.6%. |
