Stability of High Efficiency Inverted-Type Polymer:Fullerene Solar Cells |
초록 |
Polymer solar cells have been highlighted as one of the next generation solar cells because of their viable potentials for low-cost ultrathin/flexible plastic solar modules. Recently, the power conversion efficiency of polymer solar cells has reached ~11% for both single-stack and tandem structures due to the successful synthesis of semiconducting polymers and the upgraded device fabrication technology. In the meantime, however, the stability of polymer solar cells is still considered one of the critical hurdles to enter into a commercialization phase. For more than ten years, our group has concentrated on the stability improvement by developing several new methods such as resolving the strong acidity of hole-collecting buffer layers, introducing nanoparticles to bind active layer molecules, etc. This presentation will demonstrate the importance of blocking UV light for securing the prolonged lifetime of polymer:fullerene solar cells. |
