In this work, we investigated the effect of heat treatment on carbon dioxide adsorption behaviors of activated single-walled carbon nanotubes (A-SWCNT) with various activation temperatures. The microstructure of the samples was characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD). The textural properties of the modified A-SWCNT were investigated using a nitrogen gas sorption analyzer at 77 K by Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) and Dubinin-Radushkevich (D-R) plot methods to characterize specific surface area and micropore volume, respectively. The capacity of carbon dioxide adsorption of the samples was evaluated by BEL-HP at 298 K/1 bar. From the results, it was found that the carbon dioxide adsorption capacity correlated well with the specific surface area determined by applying BET equation on N2 adsorption isotherms. |
