제목 Modeling of a direct contact membrane distillation (DCMD) module in a desalination process for various operation conditions
초록 The two dimension model equations are derived by integrating the permeate flux across the membrane with the mass, momentum and energy balances on both feed and permeate sides by using comsol multiphysics. The modeling analyses provide useful basic detailed information about the heat and mass transfer process on DCMD system. A bench of experiments was studied on process parameters by using a pore size 0.7m PTFE membrane, including the effect of temperature, the effect of flow rate, and the effect of feed solution concentration. The salt rejections were higher than 99.9% for all of the experimental conditions. The modeling results agree with the experimental results.
