‘Anti-Glare’ (AG) is a type of optical coating applied to the surface of optical devices which is non-reflective to the user since it diffuses rather than reflects ambient light. It enhances the brightness and contrast levels of the flat panel digital displays like LCD, LED and Plasma TV's while maintaining image quality and uniformity. In this work, we have been controlled the optical characteristics of acrylic based adhesives for inducing the ‘Anti-Glare’ (AG). 2-Ethylhexylacrylate (2-EHA), hydroxyethylacrylate (HEA) were used as acrylic monomers. We used the additive kind of the hydrocarbon, aromatic ring, epoxy employed to insolubility. The additive not only offers the effect of the Anti-Glare (AG), but also increases adhesive property. The rheological behavior and adhesive properties, such as modulus and peel strength, were also studied. |
