제목 Effects of Homopolymers and semi-interpenetrating net-work (sIPN) on the Micellization and Gelation of Pluronic F127 Aqueous Solutions
초록 A functionalisable amphiphilic triblock copolymer Pluronic F127 micelle system is synthesized by a cross-linked semi-interpenetrating network using UV irradiation. The sIPN structure can stabilize the micelles against dilution and low temperature. It is always found to higher the critical gelation temperature than native F127 and have thermodynamic non-reversibility property. The effect of adding homopolymer PEO on the sol/gel behavior of native Pluronic F127 and sIPN in aqueous media is also explored. Emphasis is placed on the PEO chain length and concentration influences on the gelation. We found the PEO unit relative length (n) between the homopolymer and micelle corona branch is a very important parameter. There is a transient point when n equal to 1, the gelation behavior will have no change when mixed with PEO homepolymer. When n less than 1, PEO chain promotes the gelation with concentration increasing. Relatively, when n larger than 1, PEO chain will delay the gelation process.
