Ordered mesoporous carbons (OMCs) offer potential applications in the field of catalysis, electrodes, and adsorbents. The graphitic OMCs were prepared using the triblock copolymer (Pluronic F127) as a template and phenol and mesophase pitches as carbon precursors. The influences of various reaction temperatures and times on mesoporous structures and structural compositions of the OMCs were investigated. OMCs were controllably prepared by soft-template/hydrothermal method. The structural properties and surface chemistry of the OMCs were investigated using the Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) method, adsorption branches of isotherms using BJH method, transmission electron microscopy (TEM), X-ray diffraction (XRD), small angle X-ray scattering (SAXS), potentiometric titration, thermal analyses. |
