We made suspension of fumed silica in a variety of dispersion medium, studied rheological behavior. These dispersions could be applied in organic/inorganic coating system, paint and defense industry. The dispersion mediums which were presence of hydroxyl group, had different solubility parameter, and had different molecular size were used in the silica dispersions. We investigated silica dispersions by using steady-state and dynamic rheology. The steady-state rheology behavior of suspension was determined critical shear rate and rise of viscosity and using rheometer AR2000. |
