제목 Synthesis and Characterization of Sol-Gel Materials from Triethoxysilyurethane Derivatives for Plastic Hard Coating Application
초록 We synthesized the silicon monomer by hydrosilylation reaction for using 1,1,3,3-tetramethyldisiloxane and eugenol. Then, it proceeded silicon monomer containing urethane structure with 4,4-Methylenebis(phenylisocyanate) and 1,4-diazabicyclo[2.2.2]octane. Finally, the end groups of monomer were converted acrylate for using crotonyl chloride. For comparison of performance, we synthesized by hydrosilylation, urethane, and conversion reaction with BY16-799 (Dow Co.). A novel plastic hard coating materials were prepared by sol-gel process by using inorganic material (CS, colloidal silica AS-40) with the prepared silicon monomer. The coating materials were identified by 1H NMR, thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) and Photo-DSC investigations. After coating performance on polymethyl methacrylate (PMMA) sheet with UV curing, the coated surface was assessed by atomic force microscope (AFM), pencil hardness and contact angle measurement.
