Ultra-sensitive electronic skin based on composite elastomers with giant tunneling piezoresistance |
초록 |
The development of flexible electronic skins with high sensitivities and multimodal sensing capabilities is of great interest for applications ranging from human healthcare monitoring to robotic skins to prosthetic limbs. As representative concept for electronic skin application, a piezoresistive composite elastomers have some problems with typically poor sensitivities and low response time, signal drifts with temperature. Here, we introduce and demonstrate a novel design of flexible electronic skins based on composite elastomer films that contain interlocked microdome arrays and display giant tunneling piezoresistance. This designed electronic skin demonstrates the ultra-high pressure sensitivity (~0.2Pa), rapid response time (0.04s), with a minimal dependence on temperature variation. In addition, multimodal sensing capabilities for detection of pressure, shear, flow, vibration stimuli can make them multifunctional electronic skins and wearable human health monitoring systems |
