Synthesis and Characterization of Poly[N-(2-ethylhexyl)-3,6-carbazole-alt-aniline] Copolymers as HTM to ssDSSC |

In this study, poly[N-(2-ethylhexyl)-3,6-carbazole-alt-aniline] copolymers were synthesized by Pd-catalyzed polycondensation of 3,6-dibromocarbazole and aniline. The synthesized polymers were fractionated to separate high and low molecular weight polymers with narrow molecular weight distribution. GPC was used to measure the molecular weight and polydispersity of the polymers. Thermal, optical and electrochemical properties of the polymers were investigated. In addition, the polymers were applied as hole transporting materials to solid state dye sensitized solar cell, and evaluated in terms of structural and molecular weight characteristics of the polymers. |
