Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a promising method for the treatment of several diseases including cancer. It involves the systemic administration of photosensitizers such as porphyrin. In this work, a 3rd generation dendrimerporphyrin with 32 carboxyl groups on the periphery was used as a component to prepare a layer-by-layer structure. To enhance the efficacy and tumor-specificity of PDT, poly(allylamine hydro chloride) / DP nanocarrier was constructed through a LbL self-assembly of PAH and DP on a removable template. Moreover, multifunctional nanocarrier was fabricated which is capable to diagnose cancer cells using MR contrast agent by embedding superpara magnetite nanoparticle on nanocarrier with PDT effect. Finally, the anticancer drug could be encapsulated into the nanocarriers through diffusion mechanism. Thus, diagnosis and treatment of cancer cells were implemented after injecting the nanocarrier into the experimental mouse with cancer cells. |
