Poly((R)-3-hydroxybutyrate) and poly(ethylene glycol) block copolymers for the hydrophobic drug delivery |
초록 |
Biodegradable and biocompatible poly((R)-3-hydroxybutyrate)(PHB) was conjugated with hydrophilic monomethoxypoly(ethylene glycol)(mPEG) to form amphiphilic block copolymers. These block copolymers could disperse in the aqueous solution and form the spherical polymeric micelles by the self assembly. Hydrophobic drug could be loaded in the hydrophobic core of micelle by the hydrophobic interaction. In this study, various molecular weights of PEG were used to control the size of nanoparticles. Their sizes were measured by atomic forced microscope(AFM) and dynamic lighter scattering(DLS). Hydrophobic drug, griseofulvin(GF) was used as a model drug. It was loaded in the micelle by the dialysis method. The loading efficiency and the release profiles of the drug were measured by high performance liquid chromatography(HPLC). |
