Band gap control of photonic crystal cell fabricated using block copolymer and hydrogel with electric field |

Photonic crystal is a specific material that has photo band gap. Photo band gap control of the devices using photonic gel film and hydrogel were studied. Poly(styrene-b-2-vinyl pyridine) (PS-b-P2VP, 52k g/mol – b - 57k g/mol) lamellar structure with alternating hydrophobic-block and hydrophilic-block polymers were prepared for the photonic gel film. Poly(acrylamide-co-acrylic acid) sodium salts were prepared for the hydrogel. This hydrogel is water swelling material and it-owned ions for a transfer swelling solution hydrogel to photonic gel film. Photonic gel film was coated onto Indium tin oxide (ITO) glass for make electric fields by spin coater. The wavelength shift was very small. This result from hydrogel release of swelling solution speed was slow. We can control color of photonic device by electric field with electric sensitivity hydrogel. |
