Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Coating with the Enhanced Interfacial Property for Plastic Substrate |

With the advance of the information technology, the demand for the light, thin, and rugged display has been increasing. However the current glass substrate has some inherent problems such as easy to break so it is impossible for a glass to meet the requirements. The plastic has been considered for the next generation substrate. However, it shows several drawbacks, especially in low gas barrier and poor processibility. This problem can be attenuate somewhat by coating the inorganic barrier layer on the plastic substrate, which frequently results in delamination and crack of inorganic layer due to the significant difference between plastic and inorganic. UV curable organic-inorganic hybrid coating with high transparency, good adhesion and low CTE value was prepared. The plastic substrate was prepared by coating the hybrid material on PET film and subsequently deposition of barrier layer on coated film. The effect of hybrid coating layer on the plastic substrate was investigated. |
