Isoindigo (IIG) has been researched as electron-deficient building blocks in the donor-acceptor (D-A) conjugated copolymer system due to their high performance organic semiconducting characteristic. In recent, several literatures reported that the benzene rings of isoindigo were replaced with thiophenes to form thienoisoindigo (TIIG) including thienopyrrolone units. Comparing with benzene-benzene linkage, the thiophene-thiophene links will enhance planarity along the backbone, including further effective conjugation, charge delocalization, and intermolecular π-π interactions. In this study, we designed and synthesized TIIG-based copolymer. To investigate the physical and photophysical properties, we performed the UV-vis absorption spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry, and thermal analysis. Furthermore, it was characterized organic semiconducting properties by fabricating electronic devices. |
