Electroless nickel deposits were provided on MWCNTs and submitted to heat treatments under nitrogen atmosphere. Four set of treatment conditions were used: 2 h at 600, 700, 800, and 900°C. The surface properties of MWCNTs were analyzed by using a scanning electron microscope, an X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, and X-ray diffraction analysis. The thermal conductivity was measured by the thermal conductivity measurement system. From the results, it was found that the nickel peak is improved as the heat treatment temperature increases, the amorphous MWCNTs eliminated. This is considered crystallinity is improved as the heat treatment temperature is increased. |
