제목 | Analyze the Biocompatibility of PLCL Porous Scaffold Using Salt Leaching Method |
초록 | Biodegradable polymers are widely used in medical applications. In particular, PLCL is a synthetic copolymer of PLA and PCL and displays slower degradation and high elasticity. PLCL can be used in tissues alternating compression and relaxation, such as hear, blood vessel, and skin tissues. In this study, we investigated the feasibility whether PLCL can be used as a bone substitute. 3D porous PLCL scaffold was fabricated via salt leaching method using a solid porogen. The surface morphology, 3D architacture and interconnectivity of pores evaluated. In addition, we examined the biocompatibility of the scaffold using osteoblastic cell-line. Our results displayed that the PLCL did not cause cytotoxic effect and stimulated the cell activity.
