ZnO nanostructures fabricated using hyperbranched polyglycidol templates under microwave irradiation |

Zinc oxide plays an outstanding role in many aspects of science and engineering owing to its unique properties. In this paper, we report a facile route for preparation of ZnO nanostructures from zinc acetate dihydrate (Zn(C2H3O2)22H2O) on to templates comprising hyperbranched poly-glycidol (HBP) with the aid of microwave radiation. Microwave-assisted synthesis is a very attractive method in the preparation of ZnO nanostructure. Scanning and transmission electron microscope (SEM and TEM) images display the presence of nanoparticles. The UV-vis absorption spectroscopy measurements of the as-prepared nanostructures were studied. |
