Enhancement of cell proliferation inside a heparin-based hydrogel by fibrinogen addition |
초록 |
A heparin-based hydrogel was prepared by crosslinking via multiple Michael-type addition reactions between two components, thiol-modified heparin and poly (ethylene glycol) diacrylate (PEG-DA). Gelation of the hydrogel was measured by using a rheometer and completed within 20 minutes. By controlling the crosslinking condition, the gelation kinetics and the mechanical properties including swelling ratio of the hydrogel can be adjusted. NIH/3T3 fibroblast cell encapsulation using this hydrogel revealed the non-toxicity of the present system. Cell proliferation inside this heparin-based hydrogel was observed, and it was significantly (more than 5 times) by fibrinogen addition into the hydrogel during gelation.
