Photodynamic therapy (PDT) is a promising technology based on its non-invasive and non-toxic properties in cancer therapy. However, most Photosensitizers (PSs) are difficult to use as bio materials due to their poor dispersibility and stability in aqueous solution. In this work, we developed a biocompatible hybrid nanocarrier composed of reduced graphene oxide (rGO) and gold nanorod (AuNR) with improved dispersibility. In particular, it was confirmed that the hybrid nanocarrier was dispersed without any precipitation for a month. In vitro experiments, the synthesized hybrid nanocarrier showed superior cancer treatment efficacy than free Ce6 through its PDT/PTT synergistic effect. In addition, the photoacoustic imaging (PAI) technology used for diagnosis has been improved compared to bare AuNR. The physical and chemical properties of hybrid nanocarrier were determined. |
