The present work was conducted to figure out the kinetics of Cr modified Ni-based catalysts for Steam-CO2 reforming of methane (SCR) to produce synthesis gas for gas to liquid(GTL) process. The Ni loading was fixed at 10~15 wt% and Cr loading was 3, 5, 7 wt% respectively. The catalytic reaction was carried out at 700℃ and 1 atm. Kinetic parameters under various partial pressures of reactants were calculated by power law rate model. The activation energies of each catalyst was obtained by Arrhenius equation changing the reaction temperature. As a result, Methane and CO2 reversely take effect on the reaction rate and the activation energies appeared to be almost identical for all catalysts. |
