Ferroelectric properties of poly(vinylidene fluoride/trifluoroethylene) and amino-fullerene nanocomposite thin films |
초록 |
Interfacial polarization occurring in bulk (several µm thick) ferroelectric polymer/conductor or semiconductor films was found to be reducing the electric field required to switch spontaneous dipoles of poly(vinylidene fluoride/trifluoroethylene) (P(VDF/TrFE). In the present investigation, an attempt has been made to effectively utilize this strategy for the fabrication of low-voltage operative microelectronic devices such as, nonvolatile memories. 100 nm thin amine functionalized fullerene (C60-NH2)-PVDF-TrFE films were prepared by spin coating and metal-ferroelectric-metal capacitors were constructed. Tiny and spherical C60 was preferred over other fillers such as carbon nanotubes and graphene because they can easily percolate and make composite conductive, which can lead to early break down and depolarization. Formed C60-NH2-PVDF-TrFE films constitute β-crystalline phase with higher amount of edge-on lamella. Morphology and ferroelectric properties are being evaluated. |
