Gas Adsorption Capacity and Mechanical Properties of Activated Carbon Fibers. |
초록 |
The PAN-based activated carbon fibers were manufactured by using various steam activation conditions to improve high-efficiency harmful gas adsorption. PAN-based carbon fibers were obtained by oxidation treatment and carbonization process of PAN-based spun fibers. The high specific surface area and uniform microporous structure were obtained using steam activation. The optimal activation conditions (temperature, time, and steam amount) were studied for porous structure and specific surface area based on the effects of physical activation. The gas adsorption behavior mechanism was investigated by BET analysis and harmful gas detector and electrical resistance. The relationship between pore structure and mechanical properties of the activated carbon fibers was discussed. |
