Novel carbazole-based light emitting copolymer containing (diphenylene)vinylene pendants: synthesis, characterization and their PLED application |
초록 |
Light emitting polymers have been extensively studied due to practical applications of full color flat panel displays. The objective of this study is a synthesis of blue light material which has thermal stability, long life and excellent luminous efficiency. Monomer was synthesized by (diphenylene)vinylene and carbazole. Comonomer was synthesized by n-bromooctane and carbazole to improve solubility. The obtained polymers have 16000∼30000 of molecular weight and 1.1∼1.3 of PDI value. UV-vis absorption wavelengths showed 340nm at THF solution and maximum emission wavelengths of photoluminescence showed 450nm at THF solution. The values of quantum efficiency for P2∼P4 are determined to be 25.8%, 5.0%, and 3.5%, respectively. The results indicate that the quantum efficiency increases after incorporating (diphenylene)vinylene into the polymers. |
