Drug-releasing control using UV-curable alginate derivative for wound-healing on urethane form |

Alginate is a natural polymer having biodegradable and biocompatibility. Azidophenyl Alginate(Az-Alginate) was prepared for medical applications. FT-IR analysis and 1H-NMR were conducted for the structure of the Az-Alginate. Modified urethane form immobilized Protein drug was made by photo-crosslinking of a photo-reactive functional group (Azido group) introduced into the Alginate. Modified urethane form can be expected that it is able to photo-immobilize protein drug and apply to drug-releasing control for wound healing. To evaluate the potential applications as a drug delivery agent, should be photo-immobilized fluorescent proteins(FITC-BSA) and confirmed by a fluorescent microscope. And cytotoxicity test, photo curing test and protein releasing test were practiced. Modified urethane form was made slowly release the drug. So Az-Alginate on urethane form is considered to be able to develop as drug-releasing control agent for wound healing. |
