제목 Synthesis and Characterization of UV-cured methacrylic type membranes as Gel–Polymer Electrolyte for Li-ion Batteries
초록 In this paper, we report the synthesis and characterization of novel methacrylic based polymer electrolyte membranes for lithium batteries. The method adopted for preparing the solid polymer electrolyte was the UV-curing process, which is well known for being easy, low cost, fast and reliable. It consists of a free radical photo polymerization of poly-functional monomers: N,N'-sulfonylbis(2-methylacrylamide) was synthesized, as it can readily form flexible 3D networks and has imide type backbone which can enhance the movement of Li+-ions inside the polymer matrix. Comparing with liquid type electrolyte, gel type polymer electrolyte (GPE) had the advantage of a wide variety of shape, size and dimensions so that GPE was selected as our target. The ionic conductivity, morphology, porosity and cycling behavior of the membranes will be measured. The polymer electrolyte will show excellent ionic conductivity due to the presence of higher concentration of Li ion in the polymer matrix.
