제목 Piezoelectric Studies on Electrospun Poly(L-lactic acid)/Poly(D-lactic acid) Stereocomplex Nanowebs
초록 Our research group has extensively studied the shear-piezoelectricity of electrospun poly(L-lactic acid) (PLLA), and have observed almost similar piezoelectric output voltage to that of commercially used poly(vinylidene fluoride) under applied dynamic pressure. In the present study, relationship between molecular structure and piezoelectricity of nanoweb of PLLA/PDLA stereocomplex crystals was investigated. FTIR, XRD and DSC analyses of the stereocomplex were carried out to understand the changes in chain and dipole conformations as a function of annealing temperature (80 and 120 oC). Though PLLA and PDLA are optical isomers, their stereocomplex crystals generated piezoelectric output signals along the same direction under applied dynamic pressure. This behavior may be attributed to the orientation of the C=O dipoles in a deformed helical structure during the electrospinning process.
