제목 Blending Poly(vinylpyrrolidone) and PEBAX with Silver Nanoparticles for the Facilitated Olefin Transport.
초록 It has been known that the facilitated olefin transport membrane containing carriers interacting reversibly and specifically with olefin results in high separation performance of olefin/paraffin mixtures. Herein, membranes containing silver nanoparticles (Ag NPs) as olefin carriers dispersed in blends of two polymers; polyvinylpyrrolidone (PVP) and poly(amide-b-ether) (PEBAX2533) were prepared. PVP is a well-known polymer acting as a capping agent to stabilize nano-sized and uniformly dispersed Ag NPs. However PVP is very brittle and low permeable to gas. Therefore we added PEBAX into PVP to improve its film property and gas permeability. Consequently, the permeance and the film forming property were improved to a large extent at the expense of the selectivity.
