제목 Transparent and white polymer light-emitting diodes with color-controlled emission
초록 We demonstrate high-performance color-tunable tandem polymer light-emitting devices (PLEDs), in which two PLEDs with different emitting color are linked in parallel for a high resolution display and controlled independently. This architecture is fabricated with each layer processed from solution with the semiconducting and metallic polymers and has two outer electrodes and an internal common electrode. The device structure consists of polymer layers as an emitting layer, non-conjugated polyelectrolytes as an interfacial layer, and metal films as electrodes. All layers are highly transparent to reduce interference between the electroluminescence from two PLEDs. The non-conjugated interfacial layer is used to lower charge injection barrier. Therefore, we achieve an optical independence between each the emitting layers, and a low charge injection barrier, leading to the high efficiency and color-tunable parallel tandem PLEDs.
