Effects of Zeolite particulate fillers, treated and untreated by stearic acid as a coupling agent, in LDPE, LLDPE, and HDPE/Zoelite composites were investigated thermally, mechanically, rheologically, and morphologically. In this study, there is main purpose of verifying how lubricating effect, induced by adding stearic acid, influence on results of various tests. As results, it decreased Tm, and Tc to lower temperature in DSC measurement, and resulted in decrease of yield stress, and increase of elongation on tensile test. Also, compared with uncoated ones, complex melt viscosities of treated systems were relatively lowered. In addition, more improved interaction between neat polymer resin and zeolite particles helps air-holes grow up safely in stretching. |
