Syngas production over Ni-MgO-Al2O3 catalysts for carbon dioxide reforming of methane using coke oven gas: Effect of preparation method |

In our previous result, 15 wt.% Ni-MgO-Al2O3 catalyst showed good catalytic performance in carbon dioxide reforming of methane (CDR) using coke oven gas (COG). In this study, we varied preparation method to study effect of preparation method on the catalytic performance over Ni-MgO-Al2O3 catalysts in CDR using COG. Among the tested catalysts, the Ni-MgO-Al2O3 catalyst prepared via a co-precipitation method exhibited the highest catalytic performance even at the high gas hourly space velocity (GHSV) of 1,500,000 h-1. To investigate the physico-chemical properties of the Ni-MgO-Al2O3 catalysts, various analysis techniques were carried out such as BET, TPR, XRD, H2-Chemisorption, CO2-TPD. |
