제목 AMF synthesis from fructose with alkylammonium halide
초록 The depletion of fossil fuel reserves and increasing energy demands have encouraged new process development for converting biomass into valuable platform chemicals and renewable fuel components. 5-Hydroxymethylfurfural (HMF) is considered as one of the promising green platform chemicals. However, it has several problem realated with its production. Therefore, we’ve suggested 5-acetoxymethylfurfural (AMF), as an alternative to HMF. Less hydrohpilc acetoxymethyl group instead of hydroxy group on HMF makes it possible to practical separation and purification. Herein, we report another synthetic approach for 5-acetoxymethylfurfural (AMF) using alkylammonium halide as a reaction media.
