제목 | Tetracyclododecene / Ethylene Copolymers Prepared with Metallocene Catalysts |
초록 | Since Kaminsky discovered that the ansa-metallocenes produce copolymer of norbornene and ethylene (E), much efforts were devoted to the development of cycloolefin copolymer (COC).1, 2, 3 In this poster, tetracyclododecene(TCD) were examined as comonomer for COC initiated with metallocenes and methlyaluminoxane cocatalyst, and the catalyst activity and the polymer structure were examined. The copolymerizations of E and TCD were conducted with the metallocenes such as Cp2ZrCl2 (1), rac-Et(Ind)2ZrCl2 (2) as well as iPr(Cp)(Flu)ZrCl2 (3) and the modified methylaluminoxane (MMAO) cocatalyst. In the copolymerization of E and TCD, the catalyst activity of 2 was larger than that of 1, 3. For 2, 3, the catalyst activity increased with addition of TCD as comonomer. The catalyst activity of 1 decreased with addition of TCD. By the addition of comonomer, Tg of polymer became higher. The effect of MMAO amount on polymerization behaviors of metallocene for E/TCD copolymerization had been examined. In E/TCD copolymerization, the activity increased with increasing the ratio of [Al]/[Zr] for the case of 1. On the contrary, for 2 and 3 catalysts, the ratio of [Al]/[Zr] had little effect on the activity. The 3rd monomer effect on polymerization behaviors of metallocene for E/TCD copolymerization had been examined. In E/TCD copolymerization, the activity increased with decreasing the ratio of 3rd monomer for the case of 1, 2, 3.
