제목 PEGylated TRAIL/Hyaluronic Acid Nanocomplexes as the Potential Therapeuticsfor Rheumatoid Arthritis
초록 Tumor necrosis factor-related apoptosis-inducing ligand (TRAIL) has been considered as a promising therapeutics for treatments of tumors and arthritis. However, its instability in the biological fluids has limited its clinical applications. In this study, we have prepared a novel type of stable, nano-sized ionic complexes consisting of PEGylated TRAIL and hyaluronic acid (HA). The particle size and zeta potentials of the complexes were significantly dependent on the feed ratio of PEGylated TRAIL and HA. The cytotoxicity of nanocomplexes was evaluated in the HCT-116 cell line using the MTT assay. Pharmacokinetics of PEG-TRAIL from nanocomplexes was measured using the ELAIS kit after subcutaneous injection of the complexes into the rat. Also, the therapeutic effect of the complexes on collagen II-induced arthritis in mice was evaluated.
