제목 Preparation and Applicability of Biodegradable PCL-g-EVOH Nanocomposites
초록 Poly(ε-caprolactone) (PCL) is biodrgradable alipathic polyesters and their use in degradable packaging, medical devices and controlled drug release systems. Monomer contains a ε-caprolactone (CL) ring that is well-known to polymerize by ring-opening polymerization (ROP) and a primary alcohol group that may initiate the ROP of CL. Recently, our group has produced various vinyl alcohol groups containing polymer nanocomposites based on precipitation combined with saponification. In this study, ROP of CL was carried out with poly(ethylene-co-vinyl alcohol) (EVOH)/nanofiller composite powders as a macroinitiator that was produced by simple saponification. The preparation, properties and applicability of the PCL based biodegradable nanocomposites were investigated.
