제목 Fabrications of Dye-sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs) with Silica-coated Quantum Dots-decorated TiO2 Photoanodes
초록 Semiconductor quantum dots (QDs) have been considered promising materials which have potential to be used as optional light harvester, because they have a broad light absorption spectrum, tunable emission wavelength and multiple exciton generation. In this study, QDs were introduced to dye-sensitized solar cells for enhancing light-harvesting. In order to apply QDs into general type of DSSCs that include liquid I-/I3- electrolyte, QDs were protected by silica. The overall photovoltaic efficiency was slightly increased, and the causes of improvement were analyzed by several devices.
