제목 Nanoporous polymers derived from block polymer precursors for filtration membrane applications
초록 Nanoporous polymer with precisely controlled pore size can be produced from a block copolymer precursor by selectively removing the sacrificial block. Such nanoporous polymers are expected to be particularly useful as filtration membranes which are environmentally important. Towards synthesis of nanoporous polymers with high chemical stability and good mechanical properties required for membrane applications, I will discuss several strategies to produce more robust nanoporous polymers from block polymer precursors. The strategies include crosslinking of the block polymer precursor, combining the block polymer precursor layer with a macroporous support composed of a high-performance condensation polymer, and directly introducing the condensation polymer as a matrix of the block polymer precursor. Synthetic routes and structural characterization of the precursors and the corresponding nanoporous polymers will be presented in detail.
