제목 | Design of directed self-assembly using complex patchy particles at an air/liquid interface |
초록 | Self-assembly provide a novel route to create new materials via their directed self-assembly, and it enable to study and predict the natural phenomenon by mimicking of the nature. Here, we study the effect of shape and surface wettability of particles on their equilibrium configuration by using complex patched particles. Complex patched particles comprising separated hydrophilic and hydrophobic parts were synthesized by photopolymerizing each polymeric fluid. The self-assembly of complex patched particles at an air/water interface is induced by the lateral capillary interactions acting between the particles due to interface deformation. Their directed self-assembled structures were to demonstrate the dependence of the particle shape or patchy size. This study the effect of shape and surface wettability of particles on their equilibrium configuration and the interfacial assembly of complex patched particles provide a tool for fundamental study such as a particle-particle interaction and hierarchical self-assembly. |
