Significant advance in the research of donor-acceptor (D-A) conjugated polymers have been the major attractive area owing to their unique optoelectronic properties. Among them, recently D1-A-D2-A conjugated terpolymer system has been identified as highly promising area. These polymers can have various crystallinity properties and morphologies depending on different donor parts due to π–π stacking interaction. Also the regularity of terpolymers can affect the foregoing properties. In this approach, we successfully synthesized regular and random conjugated terpolymer containing two different kinds of donor with thiophene fused diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP). In addition, we demonstrated their fundamental properties studied by using absorption spectroscopy, cyclic voltammetry and thermal analysis. Eventually, we investigated DPP-based terpolymers’ organic semiconducting properties depending on the regularity of the polymers. |
