Rapid progress has been achieved in the development of high-performance semiconducting polymers with significantly high π-extended conjugated length and because of their outstanding mechanical and semiconducting properties, highly conjugated crystalline polymers have come to be accepted as ideal candidates for the active channel of large-scale thin film transistor (TFT) devices. In the presentation, we demonstrate the synthesis of new low bandgap alternating copolymer containing naphtho[1,2-b:5,6-b′]dithiophene (NDT). The copolymer was highly crystalline and displayed very promising charge transport phenomenon. Thermal analaysis, cyclic voltammetry and absorption spectroscopy were employed to investigate their intrinsic material properties. Eventually, we fabricated field effect transistor to study their p-type semiconducting property. |
