제목 Development of cube shaped titanium dioxide for Dye-Sensitized Solar Cell
초록 This study focuses on the synthesis of nano-structured and cube shaped titanium dioxide (TiO2) and its application to dye-sensitized solar cell (DSSC). The cube shaped TiO2 was synthesized by advanced rapid hydrothermal method. The sizes observed in the TEM images ranged below 10 nm, and the shape was regular cube forms. When the cube shaped TiO2 was applied in DSSC, the energy conversion efficiency was considerably enhanced compared to using a commercial spherical shaped TiO2 it was approximately 9.85% with N719 dye under illumination with 100mW/cm2 simulated sunlight. It was conformed from AFM analysis that the electrons were easily and rapidly transferred on the surface of cube shaped TiO2 film without any electron loss, compared to on that of spherical shaped TiO2 film.
