제목 | Synthesis of tunable 2D TMDs and their applications in opto-electronics and rechargeable batteries |
초록 | Recent advances in atomically thin two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (2D TMDs) have led to a variety of promising technologies for nanoelectronics, energy storages, and electro-catalysis, to name a few [1]. The 2D TMDs have recently been reported to exhibit superior properties for the energy conversion and opto-electronics. The rich chemistry of 2D TMDs combined with engineering of their electronic structures make these materials very attractive for applications in electronics and energy storages. This talk will present two important subjects; (1) Synthesis and engineering of 2D TMDs, (2) 2D MoS2 protective layer for Li-metal and its application in rechargeable batteries - we observe that 2D MoS2 coated Li-metal demonstrated a three-fold improvement in cycle-life than using bare Li-metal. The large-scale synthesis of 2D TMDs and their tunable opto-electronic properties and atomic layer passivation of 2D MoS2 on Li-metal could empower a great deal of flexibility in designing atomically thin optoelectronic devices and future Li-metal based rechargeable batteries.
