Deoxyribonucleic acid(DNA) is a nucleic acid containing the genetic instructions used in the development and functioning of all known living organisms. The conjugated polymer nanospheres have a good potential to be functional materials that can be used in many applications such as material science and biological systems. In this study, we prepared conjugated polymer nanospheres by precipitation method. Then, we confirmed the size of nanospheres by DLS and SEM, and analyzed optical properties using PL and UV spectroscopy. We studied an application of complementary DNA with ssDNA on conjugated polymer nanospheres. The ssDNA on conjugated polymer nanospheres was incubated with complementary TAMRA-DNA. The absorption of the complementary TAMRA- DNA has a good overlap with the emission of the polymer nanospheres. As a result, we confirmed fluorescence change via fluorescence resonance energy transfer (FRET). |
